I don't usually buy a key board that doesn't have "clicky" switches, but the base setup has been really great. The linear switches are silent, but the key caps produce a nice "clacky" type of sound when typing. The OLED screen is not entirely necessary, but a nice addition and has some nice at a glance information to display.
The keyboard is amazing for the price I love it is hot swappable and feel nice even under long hour of typing if I could find any default I would be the volume nob that is pretty weak and the space bar doesn’t sound as good as any other key on the keyboard. To conclude this is a very nice price/money magnetic keyboard amazing !
It's an extremely good keyboard, the keys sound pretty creamy and for the price I got it (48$) it was worth it, the RGB is a bit confusing when you want to not do the preset ones.
I got an olive green L75 with tactical beige switches. Was looking for a good extra keyboard and got one. Plus got an $80 keyboard for only $50.
Got my RK board few months back. Had an problem with it not holding a charge. And they replaced it with no problems. 5 start. I'll would definitely recommend RK Keyboard to anyone who is looking for Quality.
This is one of the best keyboards I have every owned. It reminds me of old school keyboards when they didn't feel cheap, but it has new tech inside. Love it!
I've been searching for a portable mechanical keyboard for quite some time now, and I am absolutely thrilled to finally have found the perfect one! The build quality of this keyboard is truly impressive, showcasing a level of craftsmanship that I hadn't expected in a foldable design. While the folding mechanism does require a little bit of adjustment to get used to, the overall experience is incredibly positive and has exceeded my expectations.
But how could it be for the price, for 30 euros it is a very good keyboard!
Very unique and perfect for Christmas gift!! I love the colors and cool features particularly the mini screen where you can customize it with your fave GIF!
The S98 was my first true delve into the mechanical keyboard world, and I cannot go back! I have been using this at work for a few weeks now, and the performance is amazing. I am able to type faster on it, with fewer errors, and the tactile switches have a nice sound to them.
I have gone so far as to buy 5 mystery boxes as Christmas presents for the family.
Really good wrist rest and really comfortable material
I was looking for an 80% Hall Effect Keyboard for the times that I actually go into my office. I refuse to use the company provided hotel cube units as they are a germ factory. YUCK!! So I grabbed the RK C87.
Out of the box, it is simplistically designed from an aesthetics POV. I also wanted shine-thru keycaps that also had a little personality. I went with a Japanese Manga design that included the shine thru front characters. I hoped that with a white LED look, that they would really POP. The keys fit and looked great, but the LED look on this keyboard were tinted blue. This was a byproduct of the stock RK switches.
These switches felt nice, but the choice to make the housing out of a teal plastic ultimately changed the color of the LED. So the search to find a replacement switch started. I was daunted by RK stating that their switches were not swapable. I was determined, and found the Durock ROCK series magnetic switch. These work perfectly and are crystal clear. These switches feel nice, sound nice, and let the true color of the LED thru...while still lighting the front facing shine-thru keycaps. I am happy now with the end result!!
I am giving this a 4 Star rating as the switch choice was disappointing on the part of RK. I also have a C98 for my home office that will soon get the same switch swap. This unit was worth purchasing, but the impact of the RK switches on the color of the LEDs was a disappointment.
Great quality and typing experience! Got the Red switch. They have the right amount of typing noise. Gives you the mechanical keyboard satisfaction without annoying people around you
The Royal Kludge S98-FR is a great mechanical keyboard. Its premium switches and solid build provide an exceptional typing feel. With triple-mode connectivity (2.4 GHz/BT/USB) and a useful customizable display, it’s highly functional. The 96% AZERTY layout saves space without sacrificing functionality. Highly recommended for quality and features!
I bought the L98 96% Wireless Mechanical Keyboard with silent switches and managed to get it at a Christmas discount. The packaging was very secure, and everything arrived in good condition.
I placed the order on 07/12 and received it on 10/12 — only 3 days delivery from China, which is really fast.
The sound is exactly the same as what they advertised in the video. You can check the pictures attached to see the packaging and the items included in the box. I didn’t make a video review because I don’t have time to edit it.
Overall, very satisfied with the purchase.
For the price, huge quality and the key sounds correspond to the ASMR videos from the networks, very pleasant.
Good accessories even if I would have liked to receive different switches from the brand to test
I have shopped with RK for a few years now, and never before have i received a keyboard with such a sad battery life. it dies every day, where my other 2 keyboards die maybe every week with my level of usage. aside from that, quality is great, sound and feel are exactly how i like
