As a gaming mechanical keyboard, it is equipped with a detachable high-quality aluminum alloy knob for instant volume adjustment, and it is fully detachable for user preference. This pc gaming keyboard features cherry profile double-shot PBT keycaps. Unlike standard painted ABS keycaps that shine and fade, these offer a permanent, fade-resistant legend and a premium matte texture, ensuring this wired keyboard looks brand new for years.

This hot swappable mechanical keyboard supports 3-pin switches, allowing you to freely replace switches without soldering, easily customize your typing and gaming feel according to personal preferences. Equipped with pre-lubricated creamy linear switches, it delivers a smooth, friction-free keystroke feel and a unique creamy tapping sound, creating a pleasant typing experience whether you are typing documents for work or operating skills in games.
Professional Software Support

It supports N-key rollover, which can accurately respond to multiple key inputs at the same time, avoiding key conflicts even in intense real-time games such as FPS and MOBA.
Customizable RGB Lighting
It also supports 16.8 million RGB lighting colors and 20 different RGB lighting effects, which can be freely adjusted through web driver to create a stunning atmosphere for your game room, perfectly fitting the scenario.

Switch Specs & Sound Test
My teenaged son is thrilled with his new keyboard. This one is larger than his last one, since it has the number panel on the right side instead of across the top. He is also happy that this one has a separate row of function keys. The legs underneath can be raised or left more flat. The color scheme is very nice, and he's happy with the blues -- it looks good. There is a volume knob that is just "cool", according to him. There is backlighting of the keys and you can choose how that works. He has his set so that it lights up under the key he is pressing at the moment. His last keyboard was really "clacky" sounding, and the keys felt cheap. This one still makes noise, but it's more refined and feels better under your fingers. It feels more controlled, I guess is how I'd put it. The price is comparable to other gaming keyboards. All in all, this is a great keyboard that feels and looks well made with lots of cool features.
While I have built half a dozen barebones keyboards, and purchased dozens for work and personal use, I was not yet familiar with Royal Kludge. I’m glad I came across this keyboard though, because it is really close to being perfect at a bargain price. These pre-lubed linear Creamy switches are so nice. Similar to another company’s lubed ‘Lynx’ switches, but a bit more responsive. The Cherry profile double-shot PBT keycaps have a nice feel to them too. I used a full Cherry keyboard most recently, because I was doing work that needed a full keyboard. However that keyboard is over 18” wide. That’s my issue with most full-size 104-key setups; they are just too darn wide. I often use a TKL with a separate keypad (on the right) to save space. This RK X104 is under 16.5” wide(!). Though they call this a 'standard 104-key layout', I’d consider it an ‘optimized’ 104-key. The NumLock, CapsLock, and WindowsKeyLock indicators are moved over beside escape. Then RK dropped a column between the main keys and the 10-key, moving many of the keys in between those up to the unused area where the indicators would be. This is GENIUS! The arrow keys move about half a column closer but remain on the same rows. Everything feels just right, while being easier to reach. Plus, it all takes up nearly an inch to two inches LESS. The wedge shape makes the legs nearly unnecessary, but the standard flip-out two-level legs are there. The front keyboard height might make a wrist rest necessary for smaller hands. Weight feels good, without being over-the-top heavy. The software for the X104, available at drive.rkgaming.com, includes all the key customization, macro recording, and lighting features in a web app. You will most likely have to upgrade your firmware before you can use those features through the web app. The site will tell you, giving you the option to download an executable. I got false positives from malware about it, but it ran safely and I did not see any other malware messages. I was able to easily change the Calculator key (swapped out for the volume knob) to Sleep. The software is super intuitive to use. I’ve typed about 30 full pages of text with the keyboard and it is delightful. I’ve also played a variety of games; ARPG, RPG, FPS, and survival. Gamers are going to find lots to like here. You can lock out the Windows key. The seven-layer construction, five of which are for sound dampening, serve to keep loud switches from ruining your space. The keys are all hot swappable, compatible with 3-pin or 5-pin switches. I plan to keep the Creamy switches for the main keys, and put in some clicky switches for modifiers, something I do on all my builds. This keyboard is fantastic for modders, especially those that are new to building, because you can change out any of the switches you want, as you go. A couple of minor things to mention. The USB C is pretty stiff, so give the connector a good, solid press. I would have liked to see a keycap puller, preferably nested in the back, but they did include picks as well as a switch puller. The mute click on my volume knob stopped working, after programming. Fn+F10 still worked for mute but not clicking the volume knob. Support let me know they are working on a fix. I found, that if you run the firmware flash again, there is a switch that roughly translates to ‘Device Information Erasure’ in upper right. Reflashing with that option got me click mute back. Royal Kludge upport has been extremely easy to deal with, by the way. The price is fantastic for the quality of this keyboard. It comes with a complete set of switches, caps, removable USB-C cord, AND a volume/mute knob. I highly recommend picking one of these X104 keyboards up from Royal Kludge!
Good price for good quality
Was expecting shipping would take a long time, it just fly through the tracker.
The quality of the keyboard is nice, considering there was no other choice for a non-wireless full size keyboard.
Expecting them to cut more corners, but well built for the price.
Can recommended would buy more, if they add more non-wireless keyboard and full size.
