How to Set Up RT and SOCD on RK Magnetic Keyboards?
Introduction
All RK magnetic switch keyboards support Rapid Trigger (RT) and SOCD Cleaning via the RK Launcher. These features are essential for optimizing movement in competitive FPS titles such as Valorant, CS2, Apex Legends, and Overwatch 2.
Whether you are new to magnetic switches or this is your first time using an RK keyboard, this guide will provide a step-by-step walkthrough on how to configure these two core settings, using the RK C87 HE as our primary example.

1. Rapid Trigger (RT) Mode
In a standard mechanical keyboard, a key must travel back up past a fixed reset point before you can press it again. Rapid Trigger eliminates this restriction by allowing the key to reset the instant you begin to lift your finger, regardless of its position.
How to set it up:
Step 1: Open RK Web Driver
Using the latest version of Chrome, Opera, or Edge, click here to open the RK Launcher web interface.
Step 2: Connect Your Keyboard
Switch your keyboard to Wired Mode and plug it in. In the software, click "Select Device" and pick your model from the pop-up in the top-left corner.
Tip: If it doesn't show up, double-check that your physical switch is set to the 'OFF' or wired position.

Step 3: Navigate to Performance Settings
Locate and click the Performance Settings tab in the side menu to access the customization interface.

Step 4: Select Your Keys
On the on-screen keyboard layout, click to select the keys you want to modify—typically your movement keys (WASD). You can configure them individually or group-select them.
Step 5: Configure RT Parameters
For a balance of speed and control, we recommend the following "Universal" settings for beginners:
- Initial Actuation: 1.0mm. This prevents accidental movement if your fingers rest heavily on the keys or tremble slightly during intense moments.
- RT Press: 0.1mm. Provides the fastest possible re-triggering response for stutter-stepping or micro-movements.
- RT Release: 0.1mm. This is the core of Rapid Trigger. It ensures your character stops the exact millisecond you begin to lift your finger.

Step 6: Adjust Deadzone (Optional)
If you find yourself accidentally hitting keys near your movement cluster, you can set a Deadzone. Click Advanced Settings at the bottom, then select the keys surrounding your WASD cluster to increase their required activation force or travel distance, ensuring they only trigger when you intend them to.

2. SOCD Cleaning
SOCD manages the input logic when two opposing directional keys, such as "A" and "D", are pressed at the same time.
How to set it up:
Step 1: Enter Advanced Key Settings

Step 2: Select and Bind Your Keys
On the virtual keyboard, click the A or D key, then select the SOCD function icon to bind them together.

Step 3: Assign the Logic
Choose Last Input Priority (the most popular choice for FPS players).

The Logic: If you are holding "A" (Left) and then press "D" (Right), the keyboard will instantly prioritize the "D" signal and cancel "A." This allows for seamless "counter-strafing" without needing to perfectly time the release of your previous key.
